Dotfun

A creative agency site with a quirky yet minimalist style

Introduction

DotFun does what it says on the tin - create FUN websites. When DotFun approached me, they had the skeleton of a very boring site, and I couldn't bear the thought of such as mismatch. Utilising DotFun's bold branding, I created a sharp, charming design and then built it with the Client first system, adding Swiper JS and GSAP for an little extra finesse.

What did I do?

I designed and built the website, adding custom graphics - such as the members you see on the homepage - and extra animations. The site also features a well-structured CMS for blogs and projects, enabling the team to effortlessly add projects without causing layout issues or having to dive into Webflow's tools. Overall, this build was a balance of creativity and organisation as editibility was an important feature for the DotFun team.

From Figma to Webflow

I started by whipping up the design in Figma - after completing the design, I replicated it in Webflow following the ClientFirst system for maximum accessibility. This is my standard process - using Figma to visualise my designs, then building a clean structure in Webflow; I have never used any Figma to Webflow plugin to automate this process and never will.
